  • Are you handicap accessible?
We NOW are! A big reason, and question we get about our bakery is our new location. Still a mystery to find, but we needed to make sure it was handicap accessible while we continue to grow! We now have an elevator, and a party room that fits needs of everyone! And stairs for people who are scared of elevators! :)
  • How did you get started?
We are a small, family-owned and operated business. There are no investors or restaurant groups involved in Hardcore Sweet Bakery. When we started in 2012, we had silent partners that funded our original Cupcake Truck and was our first “location”. Within a year we were on Food Network and getting so many orders a week we couldn’t keep up. We decided all the blood, sweat and tears we put into this bakery, it should fully be ours. They took a pretty big risk to try and bring something new and exciting to the table here in Connecticut, and are glad they did! Deciding to either not take a check, quit their jobs and live off of no income with three kids, and a small savings was something we weren’t sure would pan out to a great outcome. When we bought out our partners, we had -234.00 in our bank account. We lost our house, and lived off of $400 a week for a family of 5 for a long time to get this business up and running the first two years. The motto “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” was our mentality and still is. When you hear “When you support a Small Business, You are Supporting a Dream” is the most true statement ever, and we can’t thank you all enough!
  • Where do I park?
There is a ton of parking in our new space. There are many parking lots, and many businesses. We know it is SO confusing, especially with Waze and Google Maps. We are in the BACK entrance of the Seimon Company. Do you see the HUGE words Bently on the building with a ramp, yeah- don’t get in there. We are in the back of that entrance. You will see a roundabout with a flag. Go into that door and you can park right in there!
  • Why do your desserts cost more than "regular" desserts?"
Our desserts are made fresh, by hand. - they aren't made in some huge offsite baking facility and delivered to our shop everyday. Literally every cake batter is made by hand, with real eggs our bakers crack, and using all ingredients with no mix. Seriously, every single one. We use higher quality ingredients, and incorporate as many ingredients from other local businesses as we can every month. Additionally, we don't have a single staff member that is paid minimum wage - the quality of life and well-being of our team members is incredibly important to us. These primary factors, among many others, contribute to a higher cost. And to be honest, we think we are extremely priced fairly for our product, level of experience, and what it costs for overhead compared to other bakeries.
  • Do you sell gift cards?
We do! You have two options: purchase one in store, or online here.
  • Can we do a collaboration?

  • Do You Deliver?
We do. However we do have our top priority doing deliveries to our wholesale accounts, so delivery is limited! Delivery is a small charge in town, and it will increase based on mileage and if set up is required/requested.
  • Can I do a pop-up at your store?
Again, maybe- it has to make sense for us, and something we can get behind!
  • Do you ship?
As of right now we do ship merch, small business products we partnered with- and some desserts- Everything is trial and error, so stay tuned if we offer a more extensive shipping line!
  • Will you donate to [insert cause here]?
Please understand that we get inundated with donation requests - seriously, sometimes up to 10 per day. We prioritize donations for organizations and fundraisers that align with our values. We will not do a donation based on the perceived value of the marketing and/or advertising benefits that come along with it, as that defeats the purpose. That being said, we do have a donation quota per month, and once we reach it, we are no longer able to commit to anything else. Please don't be offended if we don't respond. We like to also keep our donations local (i.e local schools, religious groups, after school activities, sports teams in our area and other local businesses that we feel reaches the same core values we have. We love doing fundraisers at our space though, and we offer a discount on items and classes to raise money! Inquire on our class page!
